Chandrakona Gurudwara

Category Historic, Others

One day in June 1510, Sri Gurunanak Devji took a rest under a wood apple tree here on his pilgrimage to Puri. Getting the news King Chandraketu Rai rushed to meet him. In the place where Guru Nanak rested on his travels, Sri Chandraji established Udasin monasteries. In 1986, the Sikhs built a building here, which later became a Gurudwara. Probably this is the only place where we can see Gurudwara & Udasin monastery within the same courtyard.
