Objectives:
The Department of Water Resources Investigation and Development (DWRl&D) Agri Mech Wing is mainly responsible for providing assured irrigation services to the small and marginal farmers of West Bengal by implementing various type of minor irrigation schemes River Lift Irrigation under different programmes utilizing surface water resources.

Running 207 nos Govt. Owned Major River Lift Irrigation Schemes having Command Area 12420Ha.

- 89 Nos Midi Handed Over RLI Schemes (CCA-3560 Ha.)
- 71 Nos Mini Handed Over RLI Schemes (CCA-1420 Ha.)
- 51 Nos of Water Detonation Structure (CCA-255 Ha.)
