SARASANKA LAKE
DirectionSarasanka water Body is one of the largest manmade water-bodies in West Bengal, and the largest in undivided Medinipur. The rectangular-shaped manmade lake is attached with several historical myths, one of the legendary tales is that when the Pandavas in the age of Mahabharata during their one year of “Agyatavas- had travelled through the place and dug it in a single day- Bhima created the dighi as Droupadi had to wash her hand. This place is also known as Pandav Ghat.
