Paschim Medinipur has been selected as pilot district for implementation of the GOI-UNDP project on capacity building for access to information . This district started initial work on implementation of the scheme , which includes a full fledged RTI Cell at district headquarter under the direct guidance and supervision of the A.D.M(Gen.) and the Cell has been headed by a State Civil Service Officer .
